Here at Carterville First United Methodist Church, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith.

SERVE OTHERS
Did you know there are people going without each night right here in your community? Our church supports the Got You Covered Ministry. This ministry helps support new mothers and families care for small children and infants in our local and surrounding communities. The ministry provides diapers, wipes, shampoo and other supplies as well!
HELP OTHERS
We need your continued support to help keep this ministry going! Baby/Children items can be dropped off a church any day of the week from 10 AM - 2 PM. Please contact the church if you have questions about accepted items.
OUR BELIEFS
The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by proclaiming the good news of God's grace and by exemplifying Jesus' command to love God and neighbor, thus seeking the fulfillment of God's reign and realm in the world. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I've commanded you" (28:19-20), and "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind. . . . You must love your neighbor as you love yourself" (22:37, 39).

Here at the Carterville First United Methodist Church our mission is to spread the gospel throughout the world. We do this through our local and global mission projects. We currently support several mission projects across the globe as well as several here locally.
